Last week, we got the opportunity to share how great GMMS is with educators and administrators from the International Visitor Leadership Program through the U.S. Department of State.
The Sioux Falls Middle School All-City Honor Band was recently selected for 2022! George McGovern placed 5 students in the band! They will perform at the Washington Pavilion on November 10 with the Augustana Wind Ensemble. The honor band will be conducted by McGovern's own Mr. Rygg.
Congratulations to these outstanding band students who were selected to participate in this band!

McGovern football is off to a great start!
7th grade A team lost a close game to Whittier while the B team tied.
8th grade A team beat Whittier 36-0. The B team pulled out a 14-7 win.
8th grade volleyball had their first match against Ben Reifel on Friday. The A and B team both played great games but came up short. The C team lost a close match while the D team came out with a win.

This week 6th Grade ELA intervention classes created potato head families and wrote continuing stories as a group to practice writing complete sentences.
