Garden Club will be starting on Thursday, September 19 after school in Mrs. Kruse’s Room (H404). Students will start the year off by harvesting the garden! Make sure your permission slips are turned in by the end of school day on Wednesday!

Yesterday, Chantelle Friedman from Live Inspired 365 led an amazing care package assembly event in our office conference room. Our staff came together during lunch to create packages and cards for patients at Avera Behavioral and SEBH. Thank you @liveinspired.365 for helping us spreading support and love throughout our community. 💖
Meet Mrs. Boer, our new 8th Grade Math+ teacher. "I was born and raised here in Sioux Falls, SD. I attended college in Texas (Baylor) and Michigan (Calvin). I taught at Patrick Henry Middle School for 14 years and Sioux Falls Christian Middle School for 17 years. I have been married to my husband, Tony, for 31 years. He is a marriage and family counselor. Together we have 3 children, Michaela (8th grade math teacher at McGovern), Anna (nurse in Arizona) and Jacob (social worker in Minneapolis). My daughter Anna is married to Matt and they have a son, Theodore (18 months old).
I love spending time with my family, lifting weights, Zumba, reading, binge watching shows and hanging out with/taking care of small children.
I am excited to get to know and work with my students to help them find success with math, which will look different for each person."

"This will be my 24th year teaching, but my first year in Middle School.
I grew up in Marshall, MN. I attended Concordia College where I met my husband, Terry. Terry is a marketing manager for Sanford Sports. We have four amazing kids. Mya is 20 and is a junior at Augustana. She plays volleyball and is studying to be an ER doctor. Kailey is an 8th grader at Memorial. Taylor & Ty are 6th graders at Memorial.
My spare time is filled up with driving kids around and attending all of their various sporting events!
I am looking forward to a new experience at the middle school level and am most excited about getting to know my students!"
