Thank you to our friends at First Interstate Bank - N. Cliff Ave. branch - for the donation of winter gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. They are greatly appreciated!

One of our second grade classrooms read the book Balloons over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy's Parade. The students designed and created their own balloons and then they paraded thru the school before Thanksgiving break.

Reminder - No School - Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, November 25. Happy Thanksgiving!

2nd-4th grade students are making turkey mazes during library. Mrs. Savage read the book "Turkey Trouble" by Wendi Silvano. The students were given the task to make a maze for the turkey to hide in and confuse the farmer from catching him.
It was fun to see the students engaged in the project and working well together. They also had the chance to walk around and solve each other's mazes.

And with a blink of an eye, we are already a quarter way through the 2022-2023 school year! The second quarter is here, and it’s a busy one! While this time of year tends to get chaotic, it’s important to remember how crucial student attendance is. Chronic absenteeism is a serious problem in South Dakota - a problem SFSD is committed to improving. Missing just two days a month can hurt a student’s grades and increase their chance of dropping out. Make sure your student is on the path to a bright future – and that starts in the classroom!
