In Art class, classroom K05 explored creativity and imagination with fun space-themed artwork! Students used paint, colorful shapes, and textures to create their own unique outer-space scenes, complete with pictures of themselves as astronauts. Each piece is full of color, personality, and imagination. Excellent work, K05!
Classroom 206 has a star jar. The class earns stars by following directions, doing their work, and being kind to others. The class has been working really hard to earn enough stars for a reward. Last week, they met their goal so they got to have a pajama and stuffed animal day! Great job, 206!

Last Friday, we honored the 25th anniversary of September 11, by wearing red, white, and blue tomorrow (Patriot Day). This was a simple way for our school to honor all of those affected by September 11.

Classroom 505 read “Taste your Words” by Bonnie Clark. The story is about a girl who would say mean things and when she did, she would taste bad flavors in her mouth. When the girl said nice things, she would taste good flavors. The girl learns to be kind and say nice things.
After reading the book, students squirted toothpaste onto a plate, which represented their words. Then students were told to put the toothpaste back into the tube, which they couldn’t do. Students quickly learned that they can’t take back their words once they say them. They learned that they could apologize and get a tiny back in, but harsh words will always stick and be remembered.
