
Yesterday, classrooms K05 and K06 went on a science and nature walk to explore and observe! They walked by a Sioux Falls’ community garden, where a gardener was checking on her vegetables. The gardener shared her cherry tomatoes with students and answered some questions. We love this – thank you, mystery gardener!

Yesterday, classroom 505 learned how their words can affect others. We read the book "Taste Your Words" and used toothpaste to model squeezing out the “words” and not being able to put them back in “the tube” once they were said. #bekind #wordscanhurt

The Power of Partnership is highlighted, once again, to help SFSD families get connected to affordable internet. The SF Area Community Foundation is investing $50,000 to enroll households in the Affordable Connectivity Program (AFP). SD Voices for Peace leads the effort.
Voices for Peace is working with SFSD schools to inform families of this program. An enrollment specialist will continue to meet families during school events like parent-teacher conferences, success nights, etc. Eligible families should enroll today! GetInternet.gov
